A Day in the Heart of the
Country.
After
driving along an extremely narrow road, (our driver, Bruno, came out in a cold
sweat more than once!) we arrived at the Belledonne farm.
A friendly welcome and we were shown around the premises with the bread oven from which a delicious smell was coming.
But we were there not just as tourists and if we wanted to taste this lovely bread accompanied by farmhouse butter we had to set to and beat the butter - most of the participants were very happy to do this.
Bread and butter tasting, aperitif, a meal in a really friendly dining room and we were a little sleepy, even a little tipsy when we set off again.

The Tourne Mill was ready for us and we learnt everything about paper making.
Then the road down to the Perceval cellars where we tasted 5 Savoy wines, accompanied by various sausage meats and cheese.
During their
stay, our friends also visited Romans and the Dauphiné Museum.
There were also 2 more formal meetings, one with Mme Demore, and the other between the 2 committees.
A convivial pizza evening assembled a large group of people and a picnic at the Frange Verte, in the sunshine, brought the Kimberley visit to an end.
